Very good idea I had considered myself, but why not on a contrasting background to make the milk more visible? Good composition.

Cute idea. You chose a great angle for this shot. I like how we can see inside the glass and also see the milk on the table. The bowl is also a nice touch. Lighting is great. there are no glares, shadows or reflections that take away from the overall effect of the photo. great job and good luck in the challenge.

Nice concept. I feel it needs a different background to make the milk easier to see.

a little harsh with the flash try to diffuse it with a piece of very thin paper

Lovely bold colours and shapes. At first I couldn't see the milk well, because of the colour of the table, but once my eyes locked into it, it worked better.

I wish I had a nickel for every time I have done this myself :) Good shot = 8 - jmsetzler

LIke the idea and composition here...technically great too. I wish the table were a different color to contrast with the milk. 8 Lisa

Great concept for the challenge!

LLLLLOOOOOLLLLL! Very amusing. I love it.

The green cup really helps this picture to stand out. I don't know if it would have been possible without totally redoing your kitchen, but if a different color of table/cabinet top could have been used to contrast with the milk, I think it may have been more effective. karmat

Nice title. It took me a while to focus on which was the milk and which the table, but I get now. (old eyes) My sister could never get her arms near the table w/o knocking her milk glass. (your idea hit me square in the old memory banks)

A darker table would have made it much clearer what happened here... Without the title, it would have been hard to 'see' the spilt milk...

I like focus on understatement. The one "pop" color is well conceived.
08/27/2002 12:09:00 PM
Clever idea; I would have liked to have seen more of the overall image… I think it's been slightly over cropped. I had difficulty picking out the tumbler at first glance, but then the whole spilt milk thing fell into place. Lighting is great, the idea is great and the shot is just a tad away from scoring high… Good luck…

Great shot, though I think it would've benefited greatly on a different table color. It clashes too much with the milk.
08/27/2002 07:00:00 AM
Nice idea and great title.

An orange tablecloth and a glint of reflection in the milk would have made this dynamite. The white tablecloth is too flat to make the milk stand out. 6-7, haven't yet decided.

Cute -- a nice sacrifice for the challenge! :)
08/26/2002 08:47:00 PM
I think this would have been better with a different color tablecloth. the white of the milk blends in too much. 5.

I like it, but a colored bowl might have added a little something to it. A better contrast to the milk, like the cup is. I like the shadow in the cup, but not the one by the bowl as much. But that's kind of picky. :)

i think this would have worked out better on a darker table, cant really see the milk too good
08/26/2002 06:00:00 PM
very clever...good composition.

The problem for me (and it's probably MY problem) is that I have to guess. The title helped me out, but then, it shouldn't. Out of the challenge context and with no title I wouldn't have had a clue as to what it was. That said, for me it's technically better than what I could do.
08/26/2002 03:27:00 PM
This appeals to my appreciation of abstract... wish I'd thought of it. I might have tried for a little more color though.
08/26/2002 12:07:00 PM
i know that scene very well my grandson still tips over drinks and he is 7
08/26/2002 11:54:00 AM
This is very clever. I don't know any children that don't spill milk at least one a week. The only thing I would have done differant is used a dark table top. it would have contrasted the white milk, adn bowl a little better. Good Job (8)
08/26/2002 10:56:00 AM
nice reflection of the milk in the bowl.
08/26/2002 05:11:00 AM
A black table or clothe would have made for better contrasts.
08/26/2002 12:42:00 AM
over spilt milk.... very good photo
08/26/2002 12:35:00 AM
Good idea, but I don't think you got it quite across.
