Strange to say, I was just looking through your portfolio and lo and behold you make a comment on my Water Street image. Thanks. Your Heading Home grabbed my attention for a while, partly because I was remembering that once famous book, Children of the New Forest a night or two back. It is a great adventure in a wonderful place. Your photo captures some of the mystery and the history, for me. That cow just needed a little bit of choreography as regards legs though. But then again, it is a natural image not contrived. Nice work and I enjoy your portfolio.

Beautiful lighting! Not a scene I'd expect to see a cow in, which makes it all the more interesting!

Oh I soooo love this. Something about that timeless stream of diagonal rays with the cow walking away. FANTASTIC.

Now a days I am thinking about the puzzle how to paint this type of ray composition. The rays coming out through branches of tress has proved to be toughest thing to paint. I am still thinking and I have no good plans yet.
Your photo is another photo to study about it.

Nice capture but some how I feel it might be little better.

A very nice light ray composition. The low key flavor is so becoming.

I love the rays of light and the composition of this one, your title reminded my of the phrase "when the cows come home" which my mother used to say to me all the time. Excellent capture

This is awesome - I've always liked light rays! Wonder how this would look with high-contrast in black and white? Excellent shot, wonderful composition.

Never thought a cow could look so good in a photo. The trees and lighting aren't too shabby either. Great work!

hi steve ... noticed in the thread that you're feeling the lack of shez's wonderful comments ... so i thought i'd come and see if you had anything worthy ....(altho having said that i feel that any photograph has something in it that you can make a positive comment about) ...
anyway .. this one caught my eye immediately, firstly coz its an amazing photograph and the suns rays are totally awesome, but also coz i have a shot of some sheep with a very similar feel .... yours is 100 times better tho ... yours is so much sharper and i think the cow has made a better photographic subject than my 9 idiots in the mist ....... ie sheep ....
i will now check out some more of your rather impressive photographs .. :)
