these are dead leaves on a gum tree which was knocked down in huge storm .. the leaves are sort of hanging over a large puddle or small pond which was left after the rain ... this water will be gone in a couple of days if we dont have any more rain ..
Happy to see that you got a little rain. Many of the images we see from you look like the place is very arid, at least this time of year. I guess that the water on the ground helps make the fog in the other pic today.
