Had to use the flash, Minimal other processing as I was out of time. I hardly ever use a white border, but that's what the book jacket looks like.

Now he looks like he is having fun..... I like this candid shot, and especially like those eyes looking so sweetly at the viewer.....

softer lighting (not the flash) would make this much less stark and more welcoming. diffused lighting avoids such harsh shadows and the blown-out highlights like on the metal pan. the emotion and fun of the picture come through but the flash detracts. would also like a little more attention to wardrobe; a simple shirt without the "san francisco" would have been better.

This photo really expresses the joy. I can see my kid joining yours in the fun. Love the way you captured the chocolate dripping of the spoon onto her/his clothes. It is very spontanious shot. The only distracting bit is the bottom glare on the pot and the harsh shadow the figure casts. Have you considered using no flash and just sticking to normal lighting of the room with longer exposure to compensate.

Cute kid and a happy picture. The shadows caused by the flash are distracting. Some ways to avoid shadows: place something thin and white over the flash, move the subject away from the background, use natural lighting and white board to bounce light back into the picture.

Cute. I see joy is those eyes! You caught the chocolate mid-drip. The shadow from the flash makes this very snap-shot-ish, but the white drape in the back suggest set-up. Perhaps a more natural setting in the kitchen would be more thematic, and add to our sense of the environment of cooking...

the light shining off the bowl is slightly distracting but I like the shot, especially the silver tooth!

I'm not real sure I want to know what he's eating. It looks alittle staged thour, theres not enough stuff on the aprin and the flour looks to "placed"

Sweet! Lighting could be improved - perhaps some tissue or cloth over the lighting source to soften it and reduce the glare on the metal bowl? A touch more light onto his face would also be good.

cute idea and Model. Consider moving the backdrop further back and using a softer side light. This will remove the hard shaddow and unflattering light and reflections.

cute shot...would be more appealing without the big glop of goo hanging from the spoon lol. 6
