had a coffee with girlfriend, chery, this morning .. got talking about photography and dpc .. she's into photography altho its not an obsession just an interest for her ... she took me to a place near her house that was totally run down .. i used up my entire 1gb memory card ... this was the last shot on the memory card even after i'd gone thru and deleted one's i thought were pretty ordinary ...

i reckon ppl'l say i should have cropped a bit more off at the bottom .. i tried cropping various amounts, and i thought this worked the best .. i didnt think it worked cropped closer to horses nose ...

I really like how the horse is peeping out between the wood. Very nice composition. Makes me smile!

Nicely framed, I like that it looks like we're peeking out at the horse, not wanting to disturb him.

Very rural looking, I like that the horse wasn't looking at you. Very candid shot I love it

I like the crop as it is. Shorter at the bottom would take away the view of the ground leading to the horse.
That sure is a dry looking place. I am wondering if you cloned out something above the horses shoulder, and just beyond the cut off limb?

I really like how you have framed the horse with the tree tnunks with this one.....
It has a paintly feeling to the image, with that Aussie soft background.

I like it. The frame of the tree makes you feel like you are looking thru a window at the peaceful scene of the horse enjoying his environment. He's beautiful.

I can't decided if what you say would help -- about needing a little bottom crop -- maybe -- but it looks nice like this too!
