Challenge: Personification II (Advanced Editing V)

Aperture: F2.8

Once again, the Sigma 105mm macro comes out! I just took some random shots for this challenge and I really liked what happened with this image when I did autolevels and autocolour. I did some very minor editing apart from that including noise reduction to smoothe it all out.

It looked like a human foetus floating in the womb to me.

It could go either way...a 5 if people don't see it or a 6 if people do...

What am I hoping for realistically? A 6.3

POST: Well, it bombed...I Love the image and it reminds me of stuff Ursula would do. If I called it Embryo or something like that, it might have done better? Maybe it would have done better in another challenge

There were some comments to the effect that I am saying an embryo is not human...that is a TOTAL misunderstanding of this image! I am saying an embryo is a person and this looks like an embryo, therefore it is a personification. I am a Christian pastor and pro life...so, not sure what the people were on about

Had he used a real fetus and called it a personification then your point would have been well taken. He is saying that this image is a personification of a fetus.

Beautiful color by the way...very nice shot.

apparently you did too good a job and emayner thought this really was Judy Garland's (or an impersonator's) fetus!

No way. This deserved a much higher finish. Was one of my top picks for the challenge, thought it was perfect.

I love these soft dof transitions and sweet color combo's, they have a very calming/relaxing effect. 8

A fetus is not a personification - he/she is a person.
