haha.. these are (3 of 5 of) my older siblings (from left to right: philip, anna, zillah)

i almost didn't post this photo not quite understanding what the challenge wanted...

at first i thought people would simply take pictures of book titles.. ugh.. how boring that would be.

This shot IMO, deserved a much higher score then it got! People always mark down a little too heavily for not completely fitting the challenge, or if it requires them to strectch their artistic minds a little. This is a fantastic candid, and a great black and white. The shadows may be a little distracting, but that's life! Nice shot!

This shot looks almost like a candid with the wonderful expressions on the two people's faces. I love this shot, it is very clear, emotive and creative. Reading your description that it is siblings makes it that much more special.

I haven't read the book, but it doesn't matter. This shot is wonderful, and I rated it well. The black and white is perfect, and I love the emotion in the shot. To me, the point was to get across, not so much just the title of the book, but the essence of the book, and this shot makes me want to read the book.

Hmmm. Why is he about to bite her belly? What kind of proposal is being made and by whom? What does it all mean? I'm too confused. Does this have something to do from a part of the book? Sorry, I didn't read it.

Some people will be put off by this one but I thought it was a daring and interesting idea.

Fun... What the lighting lacks the fun of the photo makes up for... Could have cropped the tail lights out.

this is about the content of the essay, not an interpretation of the title. those who haven't read it won't get it, and that's not the point of this challenge.

hmmm... interesting, very interesting. Does this imply that the propsal is ablout surrogacy? I like it. I'm a little thrown by the man's reaction but not so much as to change the original score. Nice bw
