A nice tight portrait of the parrot. Could use some better lighting to highlight the beautiful colors. The challenge is for wild animals in a natural setting, and this is taken indoors under flourescent lighting, so a couple of points taken off for that.

Beautiful details. The lighting and background lead me to think he probably wasn't out in his natural rain forest environment though when you found him.

Handsome character, definitely a worthy subject, but maybe not for this challenge; doesn't give sense of natural environment; you might want to experiment with more dynamic lighting - angles, brightness, etc.

super sharp...needs some adjustments to make the colour really pop though

The background doesn't look like this Macaw is in the wild. Could be wrong though. The lighting also looks artificial

Those cracks in the beak look pretty bad :-( Bright white in the background is distracting.

A good crisply focussed portrait, with an interseting pose, but let down slightly by the background. I would have liked to have seen a little more of the macaw's environs in order to give context to the photo.

i think adjustment to the colour would work well here, it just looks a little on the dull side

I am trying to ignore the fact that this is obviously indoors. Its a great capture but I just don't get the "wild" feeling here at all. Sorry :(

I'm not sure I would call this wildlife, especially since it appears to be indoors. The lighting here is a bit dull and doesn't bring out the bird's colors to it's full potential.

Superb focus, but a little dark which makes the red a little duller.

I like your picture - vibrant colours and excelent sharpnes. But, I dont believe this was shot "in a natural environment" as stated in the challenge description. Looks more like it was shot in a house or maybe a zoo. I don't want to be to harsh, but I'll deduct 1 point and give you a 5...

Lighting of the red feathers is a bit dull. I would have lightened reds using Hue / Sat.

I need a jungle background.
