I voted this fairly low simply because I can't see enough to get a real feel for teh photo. Suggest going all the way up to 640 pixel limit on longest side so that voters can really appreciate your art! This looks interesting and I'd like to see it larger size.
01/25/2007 05:16:50 PM
I like the simplicity of this.

Nice, but a bit underwhelming for THIS challenge - you might find VERY low scores with this because there are so many entries & some folks might get irate over the flood of what MIGHT be considered less than "Best Of" calibre.

This has nice composition, but you did the image a great disservice by entering it in such a small format. I'd suggest paying close attention to the rules next time & note the max size you may submit & perhaps aim to get closer to that size. At this size, it is difficult to judge the image - it looks like it really COULD be great!

Good luck...

Nice one...
01/24/2007 11:42:48 PM
nice idea, but as you've doubtlessly heard from others, 'too small'...
01/24/2007 05:33:57 PM
This is too small. Use all the pixels they give you! :)
01/23/2007 06:29:21 PM
At 308x221 pixels, this image is far too small to do well in a challenge.
Image-wise and compositionally, it looks fine, just needs to be larger, using all of the 150kb available.
01/23/2007 02:26:02 PM
Nice shot. Needs to be much, much bigger.
01/21/2007 05:42:07 PM
Nice image but a little small for viewing.
01/19/2007 10:38:13 PM
bigger is better
01/19/2007 01:35:01 PM
This is simple and beautiful. Only wish it was bigger.
01/19/2007 11:23:54 AM
too small!
01/18/2007 11:22:45 AM
I love the whispy cold of this shot, and the simplicity of composition. Also like the soft shadows in the snow. 10

Dimensions too small. Lacks interest.
01/17/2007 12:25:40 PM
too small.
01/16/2007 09:57:38 PM
Nice simple composition, but as I'm sure you've already heard, tragically small.
01/16/2007 06:05:17 PM
Such a shame this isn't bigger as I really cant tell if that is snow or water the grass is coming out of
01/16/2007 12:17:34 PM
Like the idea, would've liked to have seen this larger so we could see more detail.

Too small to properly evaluate. Subject boring.
Was this really your best image of 2006?
01/16/2007 09:08:58 AM
too small, but you probably heard that before :-)
01/16/2007 03:59:53 AM
This could be an excellent graphic shot, but unfortunately it is too small to evaluate properly.
01/15/2007 03:27:24 PM
Very simple - elegant. I like the way the blue lines in the snow cross the golden wisps of grass that are bendind as if under their influence. You have made the image so small, I am not getting any details - with must be only 300 pixles wide - 720 was allowed.
01/15/2007 01:01:47 PM
this size is no good. you will are getting nailed for this im sure. always 640!!!! Winter grass? i can make out any detail to see if that's what im actually looking at. ALWAYS 640!
01/14/2007 11:16:52 AM
You have to submit bigger pictures if you want people to be able to see the detail.
01/14/2007 09:08:47 AM
tooooooooooooooo smaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall
01/14/2007 08:11:34 AM
would be great if it was larger
01/13/2007 10:21:49 PM
Could have made it a bit bigger so we can see it
01/13/2007 07:47:11 PM
The image could be interesting if the details were more visible. Unfortunately this is too small of an image to bring out detail.
01/13/2007 12:06:12 PM
why so small?

Too small to see much detail of it.
01/12/2007 11:54:07 PM
minimal
01/12/2007 10:57:17 PM
Too small. Please use all the pixels DPC allows you. Composition actually looks pretty good. Could be an interesting photo if it were larger!
01/12/2007 06:53:39 PM
Hi, beautiful photo from what I can see. You should check out the tutorial on how to size photos. I'm sure this would get rated much higher if the size was appropriate.
01/12/2007 05:54:44 PM
I like the simpleness of this photo, it is a bit small though
01/12/2007 05:18:29 PM
too small...sorry :-(
01/12/2007 05:08:00 PM
why so small? looks like you are 'way under size limits...5
01/12/2007 02:21:49 PM
Wish this were a larger photo - it's difficult to see the details at this size, for example, not quite sure what that reddish mark near the bottom of the right side is. I like the colors and the minimalistic quality of the shot
01/12/2007 02:03:17 PM
why so small? Small images rarely do well here.
01/12/2007 10:49:14 AM
nice and simple composition but too small
01/12/2007 02:57:06 AM
On one hand, I think, why is this so unnecessarily small? On the other hand, it doesnt really matter as this image isnt particularly harmed by the small size. Still, you gotta take advantage of the allowed size!
01/12/2007 02:07:57 AM
ouch...too small. You could go up to 720 px. Why so small?
01/12/2007 12:24:44 AM
should be larger for this challenge. nice image but can't make out as much as I should to make this a great image.
