Yes, it's spiders behind with a smiley on it. This is an all-natural smile too! I took a couple pictures of the spider, trying to see just how macro my new cam could get. When downloaded, his happy face behind appeared! I was amazed, still am. Smiley is one of my favorite symbols, and to find it in nature...it was a cool catch. Not the greatest of shots (still new to the camera) but I had to submit it for it's uniqueness. The spider was actually about the size of a pinhead, blowing in a light wind to boot. I figure I got lucky with this one since it had so many things going against it turning out at all. I did some dodge/burn on the background to lend more contrast , as well as some painting, for the same effect. I highlighted some webs a tad, and did a tiny bit of cleanup on the spider to get rid of a bit of halo action. The face is all Ma Natures work!

I really like this capture, as the spider is interesting and the background a nice contrast. I think for a higher score in this contest, the spider would have to be sharper, though. What a funny face on his abdomen!

I like the composition and colors here. However, it suffers from lack of focus.

Great colors and composition but the focus is weak. Good luck!

Good color on the background; spider could be a bit more in focus.

This would be much better if the focus were sharper.

The happy-face is amazing. It's probably meant to look like a big scary mouth. Nice composition and lighting.

Nice attempt. The image is really oof and very grainy, though. It is hard to get these images without a really good macro lens.

Looks good in the thumbnail, but in full size, spidey looks pretty blurry to me. Maybe this was greatly cropped? Either way, quality aside, I really like the way it's so minimalistic and clean.

too out of focus - otherwise would be a good shot

Seems very poor quality for a Best Of challenge - the web is barely visible and the spider is not in focus at all.
