you know, I just gave this a 6 and moved on. I think your son is too big-eyed and beautiful. he looks like a model!

A bit dark for me. I would have liked to see more 'glint' in his eye, but overall a nicely done photo. I think it should have scored higher.

wishing this was cropped at the left so the fencing wasn't in the photo. It draws your eye away from the boy and the impact of the photo.

Coming back to make some 'bumps'. I'm bumping this one up. Great range of tones, nice and sharp. The model adds a lot. I like the detail. I'd love to see more of that right eye. To me the eyes 'make or break' so many of these. Congrats on a great photo.

I like the mood created by keeping the fence in. Very serious look going on and the lighting reflects that well.

Seems a bit spooky for such a young model but lighting is super! 8

you need a reflector on the left side to give a bit of detail in the shadows of the face

I love the shadows, works really well

Nice use of shadow and light on the face to provide depth and demension. I also like the level of sharpness detail in the face, eyes and coat. The Fence on the left is a little distracting as it pulls my eye but, overall great composition.

I really like the composition and b&w treatment, as well as the smooth skin tones. Unfortunately, even on an overly bright monitor such as my POS Dell laptop screen, it's just a tad too dark. The shadows on the right work with the composition, though could show a bit more detail, but it's the child's right eye that kills it ... not enough depth or detail unfortunately. Otherwise, well done.

Skin is too soft, plasticky.

Nicely done. I really like the high contrasts, but that you've managed to keep the evenness and smooth feeling of the subject's face. Great match.

Great pic. I like the facial expression. I would have liked the right side to be a bit brighter. Just my opinion though
