I can't believe this didn't do better! I gave it a 9.

Bummer...

This is a fine photo. Sure there are some strong highlights (some would say blowout) but overall its the high contrast (along with an engaging subject) that make this photo stand out.

Winner in my book. What a great photo to have of this beautiful lady.

This is a contradiction in terms!! hahaha, but still an excellent shot. I would like to see it with some contrast balancing to ease the blown areas.

I love this! Age CAN be graceful and beautiful. I like your take on this challenge. I like the black and white conversion, except for the paper, it is too bright and draws the eye away from your subject. But otherwise, great image!

the over-exposed envelope and wrappings in her lap detract from this for me but the image of Great Grandma is wonderful and there is certainly a grace in living that comes through in the image 6

The whites are too hot and blown out. I like the composition and the subject though.

Great idea and model, but the saturated whites are a problem

Fantastic shot. There is a hint of comedy, romance and nostalgia about this. The old lady perhaps about to send a letter to a loved one doused in her favourite scent. I really don't like the border but that is a personal thing. Must be one of the best in this competition

I want to look this good when I'm her age!

I'm sure she's full of grace, but in this shot, you're going for irony. I like it a lot.

Good contrast with her being old and spraying on some perfume. There's a card and the box so I'd guess it's her birthday too? I like it. Nitpick, a little overexposed.

The border is horribly distracting. It is the first thing you see and the last thing you remember.

quite original I think
