 Our cat Kesha again. Studio shot with two strobes: AlienBee to the left and behind the cat (a "hairlight"), and off-camera SB-600 to the right from the camera for the fill light. The hardest part was to hold Kesha in place. In fact, strobes helped: he got curious about them and stayed put for a little while.

I attempted a "glamorous portrait" of Kesha in the previous Pet Portrait challenge and got measly 5.47. As I see now, the lighting and processing there were rather bland. Let's see how this one does...

5 - Perhaps a little 'groom' would have given this an edge, unless you were going for the 'ungroomed' look. Background color not bringing the coat pattern and color out as much as a variation may have, also some grain/noise visible.

Good lighting and composition. Focus looks good. Only thing I would suggest is having the head facing the camera a little more so both eyes are equally visible.

Haha! He looks just like my cat... only that slimmer... mine actually looks like a hairy seal :P... anyway..really nice shot, I like the lighting and the crop :)

Love the angle, lighting seems a tad too bright, and would have liked to see the eyes a bit more even and/or open
