Taking shots at the local lake and the alpha male was getting closer & closer until he eventually took the bread out of my pocket & I was lucky to get my tripod and camera out without damage:-0

I liked this shot but it's a shame it's over-exposed.

Nice portriat. Great DOF and interesting subject. Not sure it meets the challenge that great, but a nice shot none the less.

This is a beautiful bird. You have nice clear focus and good DOF, but the composition seems a bit off. I think if it weren't quite so centered it would be more pleasing to the eye. Perhaps if you had included a little more and gotten the curve of the neck and used the rule of thirds?

Not loving the centering, but beautiful lighting on the swan.

I think you needed a tighter crop on the bird for this one - nice DOF

Good picture, but there is something missing to this pic
About the composition:
No rule of third, making the picture weak (to centre the main subject you would need to crop it much closer to make it interesting)
Background is a little distracting, it could be more out of focus. This would create less competition between main subject and background.
This picture could be cropped much tighter, seeing less background and making the swan more dominant.

The contrast of the picture is very good.
And good lighting on the swan.
