Hard time figuring out what to shoot for this challenge. Originally wanted to go to the local zoo & shoot polar bears, but my wife wasn't up to it.

This came to me out of the blue, and we tried to get this little guy to sit up & eat cheese.

Rodents are VERY uncooperative when it comes to photo shoots. :o\ They like to hide in corners, which doesn't work very well in a light box. Deb finally came up with the idea to hold it in a kitchen towel, and that worked well... so we covered a small box with them, and she kept propping it up on the corner of the box. Eventually the thing seemed to like the lens, and sat there for an eternity :O)

Really like the way this one turned out. Hope it does well (don't we always!!).

Disclaimer: No animals were harmed in the making of this photograph (infact, she was returned to PetSmart immediately after the shoot... and i gave my refund to the clerk as a tip).

I was hoping someone would do a white mouse for this challenge. Very nice photo. It's so hard to get the right exposure for white fur and this is just great! Like the textures here too! Adorable!

I really like how sharp the whiskers look. I also like the expression of the little escape artist, trusting and sort of sad. Very nice. ~8

I tried getting my kid's rats to hold still for a photo the other day, not an easy thing to do. Well done!

oh my gosh ... that's the cutest little mouse ... and its a great shot too! .. the whiskers just jump out at you ... in fact i just love those whiskers! ... they create a lovely contrast to the blanket and the softness in the rest of the image ....

and i think i've seen enough flowers in this challenge to last a lifetime ... lol ... anyway i just love this one ... =9 ..

I love the texture in this image! The mouse seems to truly have been caught in a moment. Focus and depth of field is so perfectly coordinated in the face of the mouse! It only feels off in the blue tones of the blanket and color cast on the muzzle of the cute little creature. Nicely captured. :)

I'm bad at telling between a rat and a mouse and don't know which one this is but it is so adorable!! I had pet mice and they were wonderful... this is a really great photo and shows so much great detail. Good job!

how did you get them whiskers to stay still? I have some rodent wonders who just can't sit still even for a thousandth of a second :)
