Great shot - really like it
I was glaning thru my portfolio and noticed you had commented on several of my pics. Thanks - I can use all the help I can being a novice and just learning. My son (JoshuaRainey.Photography) is a member her eand has his degree from U of Oregon in photography, but he moved to Portland, so I'm getting feedback from anyone (including him) to better my work.
Be blunt - be straight - I'll learn---

Thanks again..

I really don't understand how you did this ... or this part of the advanced editing rules ...

You must:
create your entry from a single capture.

... but the end result is DROP DEAD gorgeous!

Lovely reflection and colors. Straight on perspective is imposing, I wonder if there is a more interesting angle? With this perspective, consider perspective correction with advanced editing, squaring up the lines completely.

Holy schneike! Beautiful colors! This looks like a painting. I'm serious, the colors are amazing. How did you do it? Gorgeous blue sky and fall colors. Great detail in the building, but excellent smoothness to the sky and water (no noise! yay!).

This is a stellar piece of art.

If you didn't have the tilt to the church it would have been much better.

This looks more HD, then it does HDR. But, I'll be the first to admit I don't fully understand HDR. So in that case, rock on. DNS GL.

Nice image with really good detail. However, there is slight hayloing around the towers indicating that the process was taken a little bit too far.

Bold, vibrant and full of what HDR can do.
Well done.

My only grip about this shot is that the horizon isn't level. Other than that really good shot with just the right amount of saturation.

Great shot!...well done dynamically...love it...uniform and balanced with enough tension to create interest.

Oh this would be so much better if it were not leaning!! But the reflection and the colors are truly amazing, so I really like the shot as a whole.

Beautiful, but your horizon doesn't seem straight. Kinda appears to be tilting to the right.

The use of HDR to bring out the tires in the pond was excellent. However, the colors of the trees, flowers and water are too vibrant for my taste.

I like the idea and attempt. I would prefer if the building was straight though.

Nice color and clarity. To bad you forgot to straighten it out.

I wish I could see the whole reflection of the building. I like the color. Looks like you pumped them up a bit, but it works for me.

11/13/2006 09:52:20 AM
This is well done and works well within the challenge. I wish the horizon had been a little straighter, I keep wanting to tilt my head to the right to straighten. I also wish I had the whole reflection. HOwever I realize that without going super wide or further away that maynot be possible. this is a 7 from me.

Great shot! Needs to be straightened a bit, though
