| The title "new CHANCE at life" makes it sound like this little guy has had a brush with death. He's definately new though. His forehead looks like it was brightened a bit too mch. The white on his chest looks about right. I'm sitting here thinking though, that if his forehead was darker, then the rest of him might look too dark. I'm not sure what could have done here to even it out. Maybe someone that has perfected a photo editing program and or flash and lighting usage could make a suggestion, I am in no place to even try to correct it, as could have done no better myself. I made the statement only as an observation, and not a criticizm. I think you have done a great job with the photo. Good luck in the challenge. |

| this is such a cute puppy! I have 3 dogs of my own, so I take LOTS of dog pics. you did well getting the eye's detailed. Maybe a little less direct sunlight would have brought out more detail in the fur on the face, but it's still a good picture. |

What an adorable expression! This makes me want to go out and get a new puppy. The focus on the face is good and the big eyes don't hurt any either. The flash might be a tad bit too bright but depending on the camera you may not be able to control that. I'm curious about the title though: "New chance at life"? Is there some story behind this puppy?

| What can I say...I am a sucker for puppies, and this one is especially cute. I liked the different composition used as opposed to the typicla pet photo. A Little bit of cropping could help to pull the subject in a little bit. |

First of all, I like the shot. I think the puppy is very cute and innocent looking.
Your title may have driven home better if you also captured the shelter it came from somehow. |
