A wooden sculpture on a wooden table. I just learned about HDR this morning, so tried out the Photomatix software free trial; hence, the watermark.

Even with the free version you can get results without the watermark.

Just use the steps identified in the popup window when opening the program.

From the HDR menu choose generate. When that's done, from the same menu, choose tone mapping. Only if you save the generated HDR and then open it again for tone mapping will you get the watermark.

Not sure why "Photomatix" is included. I wish you had gotten a little closer to the birds to include more detail.

This will probably be disqualified as it contains a visible watermark.

the free version of photomatix :)

It'll be interesting to see how many people try and get you DQ'd for this one, heh. Is that what the trial of Photomatix does?

Ahh, the demo version I see ;)

Nice shot aside from the distracting branding.

Not quite the perfect subject for HDR. Kind of lacks in composition and we don't get to figure out exactly what this is (I think it's a decorative sculpture).
Keep trying though, and just watch what this program does on a dramatic cloudy sky!

perhaps cloning out the watermark from the trial software would help the viewer see the image better.

I think the watermark that Photomatix makes will cost you points and it is probably against the "No added text" rules.

Those copyrights are in perfect focus!

(That's why i didn't enter this challenge)

This will ultimatley be DQ'ed for the text added by the use of what I assume is a trial program. I like the composition and your take on it though. Need to save at max size for challenges whatever that is for the challenge.

What's with the "Photomatix" all over this?
11/13/2006 12:33:31 AM
Hmmm.. guess you are still using the trial version lol. The marks may lower your score a little...

no text my friend...
