My grandfather's hand. A hand that held a gun in World War II and obviously a hand that's seen more than it's share of table saws.

I like the concept although it does make me squeamish. What bothers me is the bright triangle of background that's overexposed. 5 sjgleah

I am marking this one high because I like the subject matter, I think it's unusual and it makes me want to know his life story - the subject matter pulls me in. But I think the background is very messy - and pretty distracting.

I think this is an excellent subject for this challenge... My only critique is that that background is a little busy for my taste... good shot :) - jmsetzler

There appears to be some cropping on the little finger, index finger and thumb, some of which is your fault.

I think this says a lot in keeping with the the theme. A hand that has been through a lot. Great picture! Good luck.

The foreshortening gives this shot real emphasis.

The imagery in the background do a good job suggesting a "story" behind this hand.

Very nice. Adjusting the color balance would help (taking out some of the blue).

Wow. This photo has a very high impact. It's a bit shocking, but also makes me feel very respectful of the owner of the hand. Nice framing and DOF.
