I remember reading somewhere that if you choose to make the subject of the image small, be certain it has the most contrast or has leading lines directing the eye to it...the image you posted in forum seems quite a bit more interesting...ignore these comments if necessary...

Maybe if you cropped a little, to accentuate the lighthouse. |

great idea having the subject of your shot so far in the distance, the one problem is that your shadow is just in the bottom of the picture. good work overall. |

Wow! Very dramatic B&W tones in this shot! Though to be honest, the lighthouse gets a bit lost in it all. Great job on the sky, in particular. |

Great textures and tonal range...I do think the image is a little bit busy for my eyes to take everything in all at once. I love the sky. The lighthouse is such a small part of the composition, but is your title of choice. I wonder how this would have looked from a lower vantage point, with more sky and less foreground. :) |

The contrast on this photo is great - the dark stones are nicely set off by the clouds and the surf. Nice photo. |

IMO, I think you need to clone the sunspot out of the top center of the photo, I think it is a better representation of the shorline in general, seeing you do not have a detailed view of the lighthouse. But I like the sharpness of the overall photo.

Wonderful sky! It feels like there is just a bit too much foreground. Have you thought of cropping it to a panoramic shot? Still, it is wonderful!!!! |
