Silhouette of my daughter's giant Barbie head against a fiber optic lamp.

Was really struggling for an idea when I realized the same Barbie head I used for some experiments in painting with light could work here. I\'ve had success with putting things against this light before, so I tried it again.

I like the curve of the silhouette; the edge keeps flipping so I see it as a face and then as the left edge of an abstract blue shape.

Editing: cropping
- A little selective color to blacken the blacks and whiten the whites
- Gaussian blur (2.0) to get rid of the sharpening halo that came from the camera and the rings within the blue circles
- Sharpening with threshhold above zero (299, 1.2, 10)to affect only the black edge of the face
- Resize and save.

This looks vaguely familiar...? It's quite funny too, because I'd never seen this photo of yours and they are remarkably similar.
I did edit my details but I'll have to find the image that I got my inspiration from.

I do like the composition and colors in this as well as the shape the doll's face imparts - :O_O:

Your fiber optics landed a higher score than mine - well done! Love this one of yours too.

Cool image. The background becomes the primary aspect and the silhouette is a nice balance. Outside of the two spots of light on the face this is a pretty clean image. Nice take on the challenge.

Not what I would consider boken, to much detail in background to me, I can tell they are fiberoptice. Great idea though.
