I've obviously been living in Canada long enough (4 years) to have been a bit brainwashed by the hockey culture here :) Zambonis are machines that clean the ice after a hockey game or skating session, by the way.

I figured there would be at least a couple of Zamboni entries so I wanted to try something different. Zambonis are also fairly slow so I thought it would be funny to see one that appeared to be speedy -- maybe a bit too much blur to be recognizable . . .

Thanks everyone for the feedback and votes!

very centered composition, but look at the top of the image - it's not straight.

Without the title, I don't think I would have been able to tell whether the blur was a Zamboni or a player. The picture would have been more successful for me had the Zamboni been recognizable. Also, the slight downward tilt to the left is a bit distracting to me.

I can't tell what the blurry thing is but it strikes me as a "person or player". Good motion blue shot aside from that. Usually a 7, DNMC=3, so I'll split the difference: 5

The ghostlike effect adds to the empty feeling.

I had this same idea, but couldn't find a zamboni :(

love the concept, but would have wanted to see some sense of the shape of the zamboni, rather than just a blur

Cute and clever all rolled into one. :D Great idea for the challenge. Only thing I'd suggest is making sure you have your image level being posting up for the challenge. It's leaning left. Good luck.
