I'm partial to tools but the lighting is perfect and the color excelent. Worthy of a screen saver too.

I can see the age in the patina of the wood. My submission is somewhat similar and many people just don't see the age in it, because it has been well preserved for many, many years. I thought they'd see that but didn't. I hope your's is scoring better than mine....:-) I like yours.

great subject and great shot. lighting and colors are great. I love being able to see the tarnish on the blade and the grime on the handle. the only thing I would change is the amount of negative space. I would like to see a little more room around the handle, especially at the top. good job, though.

Very nice. This saw certainly looks old and used. Good composition, interesting textures and curves.

really nice framing on this. The background and lighting bring out the lustre in the wood very nicely. 9

Great quality photo. The image is very clear. Black background came out great - good lighting skills. I like the different textures. Seems that it has been around for some time. Good cropping and composition. 9

Good subject. Focus is a little soft, but not so as to upset the composition. Very good, overall.

Excellent image quality. Nice framing of shot. Handle is well outlined by black background. Detail is very good. Like worn look of handle.

I like the focus on the handle of the tool and the visibility of the wear and tear, and I also love that it only has three main colours, rich bronze, silver and black. I would like a tiny bit more black space at the top of the image.

very nice. nice that you picked just the handle and part of the blade. the black background is fantastic, and the sharpness of the shot really good, too. i would love to see the teeth of the saw at the bottom, even though that would mean more of the blade and (in proportion) less of the handle. -- gr8photos (8)

This is beautiful. The shapes, textures, lighting, colours, composition... everything here is not only very pleasing but definitely emphasises the age of the subject.

so simple yet so perfect -10

Grandpa, this is your darling Krystin (he, he, he) I am rating you a ten of course, because this is a good picture.... um, one problem. It is dirty and only the handle. If I were you, I would have taken a picture of a power saw but I guess that is why I would not have done well, with the "old" theme. Great picture!!!

i like the color and contrast and placement!

the patina is beautifully captured. I can alsmost see the worn hands reaching for this much-used tool My top pick for the week. 10 crisa58

This saw has so much character. It makes me think how valuable this used to be to the people that did not have power toold.
