Slightly overcompressed I think. Doesn't really shout out something old to me.

Cute idea, but isn't this a title thingy? (let's say we remove the title, it seems a little vague, doesn't it?) Suggestion: peek over her shoulder, show us something "good". 6 Swash

huh?

Framed vertically, this would have all those diagonals leading the eye upwards, and eliminate the bush that must have just leant into shot as you pressed the button.

This is an interesting photo... I think a vertical crop showing the entire child may be better... the exposure level on this shot is a little high as well... - jmsetzler

love it! sahem about those couple of branches in the bottom right though.

Please don't take these comments with offense as they represent my honest reaction to the image. I would like to have seen more of the child. Perhaps if framed as portrait instead of landscape I could see more of what the child is doing, which is the theme of the photo. It is a good theme and has very good storytelling, but for me it doesn't work because having the subject cut off like this causes far too much attention to be drawn to the garbage in the background, which isn't interesting and leaves the story of the child somewhat untold.

i like the idea but don't get spying from the portion of the human selected

I like the idea -- reminds me of an Andy Griffith episode. I seems a little grainy to me. Maybe a little more contrast would help. karmat

Something old. Use your photographic technique to emphasize the age of your subject.
Composition - ok
Technical Aspects - good
Meets Challenge - not really
Visual Impact / Originality - ok

cute idea. not sure about the composition - too much distracting background

Doesn't look old to me.

too many elements in this photo, imo. i was left to wonder if it was a thing or things that were old, or if it was just the act of spying? it's not a bad composition, just cluttered with no clear connection to this weeks challenge. ~mcmurma

Along with 'Vintage AM' this picture expressed age indirectly (through technique rather than subject) best in my eyes. The strait edges in the shot seem like they may have been sharpened to much, though I assume you were goiong for the aged looked. May want to rethink that. --10 Agamemnon

This photo is hilarious! What a great idea for old.

This would have worked better if you had shown the entire person.
