This was definately a first for me. I have never seen hogs on a tropical beach, so I figured it qualified as unrelated. Juggled with the titles Pork & Beaches or Bay of Pigs.

Enjoy

Thanks everyone for all of your advice and kind votes. They were all very helpful. I cannot believe I did not notice the horizon in the shot. Also, after the contest started, and I saw more entries I realized that it probably did not fit exactly into the contest. I just got excited about the photo and was stuck on the "unrelated" portion. Thanks again for your comments, I am going to take everyone's advice and edit the original now to get a nice print for development!

Well, of all the things one can say "you don't see that everyday" to, this shot epitomizes the statement! Rob, I must say... it was only AFTER reading the comments posted here that I even noticed the horizon! It's really not that 'off', and I was SOOOO taken by your subjects and your fantastic colors anyway that it totally escaped my attention! Fabulous job!

Deb :-)

Well done on the result. Bay of Pigs is a pretty neat title too.

Ha!! I love this. What on earth!??! Hilarious. Colors are nice. Horizon is a bit tipsy (I'm sure at least 35 people have brought that to your attention by now!! ;) The composition is just so odd and charming that i'm going to overlook the horizon and bump you to 8.

Only thing wrong with this shot is the horizion is way off. (and a little over exposed) A tighter crop would show us more of the great stuff of this shot in this limited space.
Otherwise love this! Great catch, great title!

Now this just cracks me up! How did you get pigs on the beach?? You'll have undoubtedly heard your horizon isn't level, but with pigs on a beach, who needs a level horizon?

Few more steps & you'll have some amazing "Salt Fat!" :)

Ok, I'm dying to know how you got these porkers to the beach. Very original shot, and nicely done, too!

Great capure and meets the challenge well. The tilting horizon and the burned out clouds and waves distract a bit IMO, but very good and funny shot nevertheless.

Lol, this is so funny! Have never seen pigs on the beach before. This looks so absurd! Great find.

Great unrelated items! If the horizon was level, I would have given you another point or two.
