Natural light coming through the blinds in my sewing room - opened just a bit but not enough to hit me directly. White posterboard set on a chair next to me on my right. Desk lamp way over to the left - not sure it did much but the objective was to try to get a little light on my rapidly graying hair.

I actually rather like this one. Oh, and no corrective photoshopping. More than willing to let someone make me look younger and prettier if they want to give it a shot.

Just saw this. Deb, you need to cut your hair.

A very nice sp. I gave up and embraced my gray hair quite some time ago :) Colors are wonderful in this shot. I might rotate and crop this just a bit more.

I would never have guessed this was you from your profile picture!!!! Fabulous studio portrait, honestly I think you would have paid big bucks to get exactly this in some 'proffesional' studio!

I am impressed that anyone can take such a lovely serious but not at all too serious portrait of herself.

P.S. If I had that much hair , I would enter the "hair challenge", or bow down to Allah , or something...

This is so beautiful. It should be hanging in a large gold frame in your dining or living room. Or maybe in the White House. ; )

This is great Deb! It has that old-timey feel to it. Like the huge paintings hanging over fireplaces in large estates. Great job!

Hey, this is a classy, classic-looking portrait. Nice job! My only suggestion would be to move a wee bit further off-center. Try to either be dead center or clearly off-center, as opposed to appearing accidentally just slightly off-center.

Deb, this is lovely!! You handled the lighting very well, the pose/compsition works and the red in the bg is a striking contrast to your dark suit and bright eyes. Its sexy and sweet at the same time.

I like it very much. Nice detailing and light. If I were to change anything, it would be the vivid red of the background, which seems to blanche you out just a smidge.
