I love this shot

Nice still life. Though the items are old the shot has a modern feel to it, and it wouldnt look out of place in a magazine advert or article.

Good choice of subject matter for photo. Simplicity of setting is effective, putting the emphasis on the subjects. It's all there.

Nice but static. You could have used a better background for this. Would have been better. Off white does not work well with these objects.

Nicely photographed and lit - very conventional arrangement though.

Verry nice composition. One of my top ten picks.,

I think that this is a very good exposure and you have some good subjects to shoot. I love the camera. Good job at keeping reflections off the photo and camera lens.

Nice collection, well composed, but is starving for a little more light. One of the better ones this time. Autool

way too contrived, not unlike the majority of shots in this week's challenge

simple and addresses the theme very well. I like the lighting.

like the subject matter. technically it is a good shot. i think it might be more interesting if you could have shot the items with something other than the white background. maybe an old quilt or papers or maybe on an old nicely textured wood table.

Nice photo and idea. I'm being very frank in my comments - not to offend. I think there are several things that would make this more effective. A different angle and more importantly, a tighter crop. If it's going to be right in the middle, then crop it to take out the space. If you leave the space, then use the rule of 3rds. I think that the white balance is off - the white is very grey. This is my opinion - not to offend 5

Something old. Use your photographic technique to emphasize the age of your subject.
Composition - quite good
Technical Aspects - quite good
Meets Challenge - yes
Visual Impact / Originality - good

All the objects are standing up which makes the image rather static. Might have been a lot better if the boots had been lying down

they're old. difficult objects to get good exposure. camera is so much darker than shoes and picture, you can't see its details

Your shot does very well putting some sense of feeling (~Connectiveness~) into a shot that might other seem sterile however I think it could be served by a shot that does not do as well in the aspects you have excelled at. 'Speed Graphic'
for example scored lower from me than your picture, however it seem more technically perfect in my eyes... combining positives from that shot (white background) might help yours. --9 Agamemnon

Now here's a picture of a camera that even non-photographers can readily tell is "old." The rust on metal, the wear-marks on the black parts and the worn leather strap are all indicators of age. A closer shot of the camera alone would have been great.
