Thanks to everyone who voted and commented. I just wanted you to know that the photo WAS "Neat Imaged" before entry. Unfortunately, with the deep blue sky it still became pixelated upon compression for entry. It was a fun shoot anyway! |

Great shot. I love how you captured this angel in flight! Too bad about the noise in the sky. Neat Image could have worked wonders here. |

That looks like fun, can I have a go? : )
A lovely capture, just a shame that the hair is obscuring the eyes. |

Nice composition. Good focus. I like the colourisation, nice editing. Looks a little noisy. Good luck. |

Good sense of motion. Nice bright, colourful shot with a happy feel to it. The hair across the face is a double-edged sword - it portrays motion but it might be nice to see her face more clearly as well. |

Ohhh NOOOO who is taking that picture :O:O:O LOL this is great, I am not one for kid or people pictures a whole lot but this one is spectacular, wonderful exposure contrast smiles and flight, this is a wonderful entry, best of luck, and tis certainly ribbon material in my book LOL but then the competition is really impressive in this contest so don't be disgruntled, just be pleased with this amazing fine piece of work you captured, lovely take you have here

Nice. And bonus points for a kid picture! (Since I'm sure you'll get dinged for it.) Great stopped motion. Too bad you couldn't have gotten her face better - would have really made this shot sparkle. Also, try using Neat Image (if you didn't already) to try cleaning up the noise in the sky. It usually does a really good job with this kind of shot. |

Nice shot. The sky is a little pixelated. Try using NeatImage on this. The exposure looks really good. |

Great set up shot! I wonder if there was a way you could have put the camera behind the person throwing the girl up to compose the photo without his hands in the shot? That would have been truly awesome! |

A little noisy in the sky, but she's so darn cute that you don't even notice it. Nice work! |

Wonderful capture and full in flight. The girl looks so happy! Although the hands of the person "tossing" are not too bad being in the photo as well, I think that without them the feeling of "flight" would have been enhanced. |

A cute snap. I was really hoping someone would do one like this. On the technique side, try running it thru neat image to tame the noise in the sky. I know dad couldn't be throwing her up really high, but would have loved to have seen either her alone in the air (sans dad's hands) or more of the tosser of the child. Did you try using a fill flash? Bet she had a great time! |

Nice perspective, excellant clarity. You have really captured the moment of tossing a child in the air exceptionally well. |

precarious, exciting, joyous..nice shot (I would say crop the left hand but I would be afraid she'd fall) 8 |

Excellent shot, I like the perspective on this shot. My only criticism would be I would have liked to have seen the left hand completely in the shot and perhaps a little space between the right hand and the feet..... little things I know, but I think it would make for a stronger image that way. I also realise it's not always possible.... it's a great shot though and conveys both a sense of 'flying' and the complete trust between the child and the adult.
Good Luck, Todd. 8 |

Nice shot, very effective. I wonder why the sky is so noisy... did you leave the camera on a high ISO? Well done for not having too many extreme highlights in the harsh light. The foreground hands work nicely. 7 |

In my tops! Original and the croppinf isn't too tight. To get a stonger effect it would've been nice to see some blue sky the thrower and the kid's feet. Justa tad oversaturated blue but the DPCers will love that! ;-) 8 |

This is great, especially with the light in the child's hair. But really, the father's hands should go. |

Good idea. She looks a little teeny tentative, but confident you'd be there. Be great without the hands in the picture, but a little too risky for a photo competition.
Beauty! |

This is a very creative kids shot. I like the fact that you are only showing the arms of the dad. She looks so high!! As a mother I don't think i would let my hubby do that. hehe |

Great capture, Neatimage could clean up the grainy sky if that's what you whant. Fill in flash could also be interesting, to light up the girls' face. Good job! |
