In New Jersey there are no lone tree. In my area there are no empty field with a lone tree. I walked into this store and this it was a lone tree.

if this were a visual scavenger hunt this would definately meet the challenge - but in a photography contest this looks like a quick snapshot trying to compete with -

So if this is your tree, show me from a different angle than I would see it normally, different lighting, so me the irony of a tree juxtaposed against all that commercialism, something that feels creative

Or use your creativity in the post processing - dodge and burn, selectively desat everything but the green in the tree, use the processing to show me what you found interesting about this particular tree - just slapping a sepia on it does nothing to communicate what you felt about this scene.

One of my more direct comments - sorry my diplomatic button broke on this one - but I wanted to let you know why I'm giving this a low score in hopes that it helps you in future challenges
