grandma is a little dark though the detail is fine. the frame kills this for me.

Photograph is underexposed, but the real problem is with that obtrusive 3d bevel border thing. WHY? 3

Border is a little distracting, Lighting is good, Could have been a little better.

You really tried to capture a nice one. Did you try getting more light on her? With the quilt being light, my eye tends to focus more on it than the woman. Also, IMHO, the frame detracts from the mood you have tried to create. It's like you put her picture on a button for strangers to wear. Next time, try putting a light between your camera and her and if possible, put a medium colored quilt on the bed. Even with all that said, I gave you a 7 because I do like the mood.

Nice use of the blanket.

nicely composed but the border takes away from this one, as does the quilt in the background

A bit murkier than I'd like but I know it was intentional - a very good shot

Way too dark, and flat, using buttonise to make the border adds a little but not much, obviously there was not enough light for this shot, use a tripod or at least try a different metering mode if you have it.

Needs more contrast. A lot more.

What a beautiful face this lady has. She looks much younger! I wish the photo were lighter so that more of the image could be seen. Some darkness on the profile is a nice touch, but this photo is too dark in the lower portion, in my opinion.

she probably needs it after raising you! lol . nice frame and soft tone to this 9

Bad bad border. This shot looks to under exposed. I do like profile photos but not when they are centered like this one.

I think you should have skipped the borders and its like there is a black thing over the picture Its a little too dark, mabey you could have cropped a bit more of the top too, But the picture is good I like the blanket behind her I think it adds something to the space there. Good luck :)

Unfortunately the first thing I notice is the border and it dominates the image, I really do not care for it. The image itself is light and grainy, which shows up more because of the border. Having more light on her face to bring out the 'life experiences' on her features may have been a little more dramatic. Compositionally it is fine and meets the challenge, but please rethink the border.

Seems to be a gray haze over the shot, the dark areas go gray.
