Critique Club Review:

This is an outstanding photo. Probably the only thing that kept you from winning a ribbon is the image didn't meet the challenge. Some would argue that, challenge criteria shouldn't be a factor. Fact of life is that it is in many voters minds. However, that being said I still would not base my total vote on challenge criteria.

The lighting, color, contrast, saturation, hue, exposure, focus, depth of field, heck.... everything about this image is done extremely well.

About the only thing in this image I find distracting it the objects in the air to the left of the woman. They seem a bit oversharpened, appears to be a halo from processing around them. Minor, but there.

One last thing, is that the grass gives away the fact that it is not windy after all. It takes a while to notice, but then there is that "Aha!" moment.

Still an excellent image. One I could see hanging on my wall, and should have been a ribbon winner elsewhere. I didn't vote in this challenge. If I had it would have been a 9. 10 -1 for not meeting challenge.

This image bears the charm of the classic school of oil paintings. It is indeed a beauty! Congratlations on your top 20 finish.

Wow! Cut-outs? The tip-off is that none of the greenery is moving. Pretty cool though. 8

Ths has a wow factor and great photographic quality. The colors are great ... The newpaper in the foreground is perfect ... but something seems to be just a bit forced. WARNING: constructive criticism coming: I think if the background were a city landscape or maybe the model had a sliightly more natural in-motion pose it would be more graspable for me. I love the idea and by all means this should be in the top 20 -- I'm just telling you what would make it a 10 for me. I gave this a 7

a fantastic image. Unfortunately the size restraints really hurt what I think is likely a breathtaking and awe inspiring image. Perhaps not as pastelly as I'd like to see in this challenge but I do hope you add this to your portfolio in a more flattering size... :) 8

Wonderful photo. Wouldn't strike me as pastel unfortunately. This would probably have ribboned with different processing.

This is an awsome photo, still trying to decide if it says pastel to me. Regardless of how the vote comes out I'd be very proud of this shot.

This is such a hard challenge to vote on. This is a fabulous photo, really creatively done and cool. However, like 95% of the photos in this challenge, I really don't see pastels ("a light, pale tint of a color").

This looks like some vision from the era of Max Eernst, one of my favourite artists. It's a wonderful depiction of the surreal winds of change. 10.

I really, really, really like this shot It just doean't strike me as pastel. I would consider the tones to much more earthy than pastel. I'd like to rate this really high artistically and technically I'm just not sure it meets the challenge.

I have no idea how you managed to do this, but I truly like it. While I do like the soft colours contained in this image, I fear that the harsh colours of the sky might cost you with some voters. Good luck.

This image kicks booty! I'm in awe, I cant wait to read how you did it. It's muted which I'm not sure is the same as pastel. Sometimes though a really great image can do well even when it DNMC. I have to give you a 9 for originality alone. Going into my favorite, good luck.

What a good thing this would have been if there were a little more pastel shades in the composition and less green

This is exquisitely executed but it isn't pastel in my eyes. The greens are too vivid and the umbrella is red. If I were just rating it as a photo - 10, but can't do that for this challenge. It is visually stunning though.
