The photo as it stands here looks too busy with all the bright lights, the boats and the reflections on the water. There is no focal point or main focus for the eye to take notice off. Looking at the title of the piece I see that it was supposed to be a sweeping waterscape at night which does not truly require a main focal point because it is meant to be a pleasing scene depicting night on the waterfront. Problem is, that there is too much light that this does not at all appear as a nighttime scene. The pleasing lights illuminating the boats at night is just not there in this composition. It looks more like an overcast day or early morning given the amount of light and the detail of the sky. It appears that you may have used an a larger aperature opening to let in alot of light & a longer exposure time. My recommendation is to use a smaller aperature setting and shorter exposure time to get a nighttime capture. Use Bracketting - which is basically shooting the same scene but with different aperature setting for each exposure - to determine what setting works best for this scene. Also if you are going to shoot in low lighting conditions that require a longer exposure time it is recommended that you have a tripod so that the image is sharp in detail and not blurry.

Composition-wise seems a bit busy, but that's just what it is.
Overall, the white balance and/or tones is not really appealing, and wasn't sure what to suggest, so I took it into Photoshop, adjusted the white balance and then dropped the levels and was a really big difference, especially in the sky.

all of the yellow and orange really doesn't give me the feeling for night. but still a nice capture.

I don't think yellow does well at dpc, but I personally love the color. it is sentimental, poignant, and you explore its variations well in this photo.

a good image for different colors, and reflections, seems to be missing a POF factor, but good composition....6

The subject and the light are nice. I have two critiques that I hope are helpful. If you intended it this way, please forgive me: To me, there seems to be a yellow overtone that isn't quite natural. Also I'd like to see stronger focus in the left side of the image (so that it's as strong as in the right hand side). I love the way you got the masts in the water. The water is probably my favorite part of your image. There's so much to look at there and it's very calming.

I assume the dark patch in the lower left corner is just dark water and not something edging into the frame from close up. Either way, it is just a little distracting, but not particularly so. As for a night shot, this one has an interesting sickly yellow tinge. It is neat, but it seems too bright for what the title claims. But that is the title. The actual image itself, as I said, has a neat tone and interesting detail. God job.

like the photo only trouble I find is there was obviously a shimmer to the water and it makes the reflections affect my eyes, if the water had been calmer it would have been better, but that is only my opinion, good luck
