OK, the quote doesn't reference the exact scene of Fredo's assassination, but it does set it up and seemed to work well setting the mood for the picture.

Taken from a bluff above the beach at dawn with the camera mounted on a tripod.

i like the saturation from the sunset/rise. the "canvas" is nicely divided.

Beautiful job. Great idea. Could be an actual photo from the movie.

I don't quite know what to think about this one... Nice angle.

Never saw The Godfather: Part II, so I will assume it had a boat scene somewhat like this. I like the high-key effect on the water and the placement of the boat. 8

Don't remember the scene, but boy, what a great photo!

Would be slightly more sucessful with the entire horizon line visible or cropped off all together.

It's been so long since I saw that movie, I can't remember the line. I can imagine one of the guys dumping a body into the river so this fits the challenge. I don't know if I like the highkey aspect. It just looks overexposed to me. The b/w fits though.

A great idea but too washed out or just too much.

I know, shame on me, but I've never seen the movie, so I don't know how well this shot recreates a scene, but I really like the high key, minimalist nature of this. Well done.

hahahahahahahaha.. .. . . ...
Cute attempt.. I like it despite the overly white effect and the lack in details.. but it's a concept shot.. 8 for the laughter..

I think I would have liked it a lot more if so much of it wasn’t completely blown-out.

A bit overexposed for my taste

This is brilliant, you have led the viewer nicely to the scene in the film through your title. This is nicely composed, possibly a little too much 'white' at the top of the frame but for me this doesn't detract from a great shot :o)

this is interesting. I'm torn between not liking the "grain" and lighting in the shot, and thinking that they fit quite well into the theme of the movie, recreating the darkness of it all. It's also a fairly impressive shot for its simplicity.

I think I might be the only person on the planet who hasn't seen this movie. Interesting shot.

Too blown out for my tastes. But good visual reference to that scene.
