yes, you've stopped motion, but it's not really that dramatic. this comes off looking more like a documentary snapshot for a county driver's ed website. from a different perspective, without such a busy/distracting background, you might could have gotten something much more dramatic.

My goodness. Three people to track your progress for a motorcycle license nowadays?! That Nighthawk is a decent bike...almost bought one of those years ago. Went with a KZ 550 instead. ;^)

Anyway...about your image. It's fine. You've done a good job of stopping the motion quite well as is evident by the tires and spokes. One of the better true "Stopped Motions" in the challenge thus far in my viewing. The content of the image is ok. Not anything really exciting or super unique here that is going to wow the voters. Nothing personal, just an observation. The technicals are fine. The subjects are placed strategically, not too much distraction in the background, exposure is good (the white on the wht/grn shirt is close to being over), image is sharp and noise free. Did you play with this in B/W just to see how it looked? Just a thought.

Good luck in the challenge, and tell your friend on the bike (if it's someone you know) to drive careful! ;^)

I don't actually see that he was moving and the motion was stopped. The composition is very nice though.

Oh I remember those days of the basic rider course. I did the ERC a couple months back and had to use my own bike to do it with. Not the same as using the 250's they usually provide in the basic course, but still fun. Great capture here!

Easy rider, day one? I like all the stop watches and the pressure of the score card. A lot going on, the more you look at it the more you see, good job.
