WOW thanks for all the great comments and votes it's been 12 months since I ribboned so it is a great thrill and not really expected with this shot.
I was lucky enough to capture these 10 pelicans in a spot that I knew where they settle in at sunset but it took me three visits to actully get 10 in a row.

i don't know...the comp and subject matter is somewhat subpar...However, the "meet challenge", colors and seredipity of this photo win out.

I love the colors and exposure in your shot. I wish the birds were a bit more off center (Rule of thirds). Still this shot made it in my top 3. Nice work

I like this, but the colours are a little unnatural for my taste - I'd like to see the orignal (pre-photoshop) image. Still voting high for you though as it is a great picture.

07/10/2006 11:03:19 AM
nicely done. maybe a little too much sharpen, the outline halo on the horizon gives it away.
  Photographer found comment helpful.
07/10/2006 09:12:22 AM
Wow what a lucky find!! I think if I were to change anything, I'd have cropped it differently, using the rule of thirds, instead of the line of pelicans cutting the image practically in half.

07/10/2006 07:22:29 AM
perfect...I would have given this a title...titles get more marks...I love the one with the mouth open...hope this does really well for you

I'll just give "1" on this one... "1" for each bird :) 10.
