Coors Field...Colorado Rockies Celebration...Fun. Nasty storm kinda spoiled the night, but made the best of it.

---------------

karma is exactly right. I disagree wholeheartedly with the ruling and made my case, don't care that much. What can I do? I cloned out hte scoreboard and a distracting flare that shot up below the firework. I believed it was clearly a minor aspect of the photo, with the crowd, stadium, field, smoke and firework being the major elements. Size relateed it only took up about 1/30th of the photo. Very disappointing my argument did not see it to completion.

Thanks for the votes, views and comments. I did not touch-up anything illegal related to any other aspect of the photo, just the small bit of black below the firework, for those who doubted my technical ability to achieve such a shot.

Cloning, dodging, burning, etc. to improve your photo or remove imperfections or minor distracting elements, etc. is acceptable. However, using any editing tools to duplicate, create, or move major elements of your photograph is not permitted.

Bummer, I'd given it an 8. One of my favs. The human element really gave the 'works a boost for me. Love the perspective and the whole "All American Passtime" thing worked together.

Well looking at karmabreeze's photo and Cutter's final shot I'm at a loss as to why this was DQed. Seems like another case of selective enforcement to me but as you stated what can you do? I hope if I ever get snagged like this I'll handle it as well as you.

Well, it's still one of my favorites. Brilliant shot, I think.

For those curious, I suspect it was the upper portion of the scoreboard, which you can see here in this daytime photo taken from a fairly similar angle: Coors Field

Congrats dude, two down and one to go and almost 2 months to pull it off. Nice shot, I like that you included the people in the frame for this shot, they are what make it work so well.

The firework is cool but for me the people in the lower right make the shot. I think its the dudes ballcap and the way their faces are all perfectly looking at the burst. Congrats on a fine pic with excellent composition.

In terms of the actual fireworks this wasn't that good comparably speaking however, everything else about this was fantastic from the composition to the storytelling. Really a fantastic image that I'm sure the Colorado Rockies would love to have I'm sure. Congrats you're really a master at this!

Love it! I don't think I've seen any entries that have a stadium as a setting, at least not like this. very well done.

I wish the firework was a little more colorful, but the whole shot is great here. It has almost a Norman Rockwell painting feel to me...I think because of the couple in the foreground of the shot. The ballcap, the location and there study of the firework really give a nice perspective to this shot. One of my favorites for the challenge.

Oh yes. Very Nice... Gotta be a top 3 as this really stands out for me. Looks like you had to resort to some petty high ISO to get the capture, but you got away with it IMO. Excellent.

I don't know why but I just love this. Something so classic about it with all the eyes up on the red bursts of color. I even got a little choked up and I'm not a big baseball fan.

What a menacing glow! I love the interpolation of the fireworks shots with the crowds of spectators observing. Gives a better sense of the granduer of the scale you captured beautifully.
