was just playing around with my new camera conon 30d with its 50mm macro lens
having fun i took this photo and then i saw that it falls into this chellenge so here i am sending into dpc for the 1st time

The challenge was to take a photo whose subject is enhanced by the bokeh of the background, but theres very little background here to look at. Im not sure if instead you did it backwards and did bokeh in the foreground since most of the face at the front is blurred.

One of the few images that actually used the OOF in the foreground rather than the backgroud. Bonus point for actually meeting the described challenge.

Very interesting photo and also very unique. I like how nothing looks to be in focus and at the same time does not appear to be an out of focus photograph. Clever and well executed!

I think bokeh is to have an out of focus element in addition to the in focus one...

A little distracting. Usually the eye closest to the camera is the sharpest point on the image.

I was also considering entering a photo with the background sharp and a blurry foreground. But the challenge said the reverse.

So I like the photo, but I'm marking off on meeting the challenge.

Then again, I'm new here, so maybe I'm taking the challenge rules too literally. :)
