The beach at sunset. I took pictures of this Japanese tourist couple kissing (there are loads of them in Hawaii). Stealth. Yeahh. Anyway, it was sweet, how they were in their own little world and so into eachother, not caring that some random kid was taking pictures of them from afar.

They probably didn't notice, anyway, because they were so into eachother.

I took loads of shots of them and this is one of the few that weren't blurry--it's hard to take sharp pictures with a point-and-shoot at night, especially without a viewfinder.

This wasn't taken specifically for the challenge and I don't think it entirely fits, but maybe with the trite, clever-but-not-clever, spin-off title it'll get something, eh?

PP:
Curves
Hue/Saturation
Clarify
Sharpening
Neat Image

And for once I've submitted days early, not minutes before the deadline!

I as ticked off more at my blindness for not noticing the weird cubic thing going on in the clouds than getting DQ'd...again. Hah. Rebel.

The halo aroud the couple was intentional. Ish. As for the weird cubism thing, something went wonky in the resizing or saving for web or filtering. One of those. I probably didn't notice it because I looked at it too long; it was one of those things where you look at something until you don't see it at all.

This would have done all right if not for technicalities. Oh well. There's a better version on my deviantart account.

I think I would have used this idea for another challenge. The indulgence concept is a stretch here despite the assistance of the title.

Gorgeous image. Love the sky. I wish the couple had been a wee bit closer. Outstanding!

Lovely shot and I really really like the negative space, the extremely low horizon and the cloud detail. Let down for me by the vivid sharpening halo around the silhouetted couple. Still one of my top 20 in this challenge.

This one definately had that "WOW" factor.
And the title is awesome.
Definately a 10

I can see what you were attempting - a nice simple composition. But I think it would have had more impact if you'd zoomed in a bit and made the subjects just a little more prominent.

could have done without the sharpening halo (assumption) but very good tones and composition over all.

nice shot, too much Neat Image or noise reduction in the sky. I can see blocks int he clouds. Plus the halo around the couple is distracting.

This is really nice, and the tiny couple makes the perspective really grow!

Beautiful sunset! Would have been a stronger shot to have the people a little closer. Without your title, I wouldn't have gotten "indulgence" from this shot.

What is with the squares in the clouds? Nice pic otherwise!

I love the color and the composition. However, I am seeing some strange boxes in the clouds there. It looks like it's either nasty artifacts from a jpg compression or neatimage on steriods. Too bad since it's perfect otherwise. That couple just completes the image giving it lots of a wow.

Beautiful shot. Smells like whipped cream or something :)

This would be great without the halo around the couple.

what's the odd pixelation in the upper half about?

this is an interesting shot composition wise and beautiful colors but those big boxes in the clouds are really distracting. would have been better to just crop them out i think

This would have scored very high from me were it not for the blocking in the clouds... what happened?

that type of title has become so cliche
