I got this idea remembering this fabulous song from Pink Floyd.
I found a piece of wood that was rotten inside, worked it on so that my son could engage his arm and show only his fingers, put the axe and some red fruits jam, et voila.
Hope you don't find it too disgusting, but humorous. I had lot of fun to make this shot, and my son too.
Techs: D60 with canon 50mmm 1.4 @22, shoot RAW , mirror lockup enabled, converted with +1.5 exposure bias to correct effect of white wall in background. Crop, levels, small border and USM.

DARN!! I guess people just don't have a sense of humor. I thought for sure you would be in the top 10. The folks that gave you a 1 need to put thier glasseson or get a new monitor. Have a Fun Day.

It's good to see some humor in some of these shots! I like the textured background, the coloring of the bark and axe are good, and compositionally it is visually appealing. About the only thing I dont really care for is the border. In this particular photograph I feel like it invades my viewing of the photograph, possibly because the crop confines the eyes to that the entire shot and the border distracts from the areas where I need to look - if that makes sense.

Hah hah.. Good one. Bonus points for the Pink Floyd reference. Not entirely fond of the border, but I'm not that fussed about it either.

This one is sick, of course, but exceptionally well done and should be scored high. I hope people don't give it low scores for content, but I'm sure some will. It is very well composed and the while mottled background makes the rest of the image stand out. Very clean image; well, except for the blood. :)

You get 10 from me for the sharpness, the clarity and the "giggle" factor of this image. I do not like the border, but it's thin enough to get away with it. Well done, good luck!
