This is the interior of the Church of St. Peter in Munich, Germany. A particularly challenging shot, given the wildly varying light levels, and the constant presence of distracting pedestrians.

You were robbed! This is a professional quality photo if I ever saw one. The exposure, colors, everything is great. Of course there's 'white lines'. Do they expect you to hang from the ceiling and cut the light cords? I also like the tension induced by the off center line of sight and the dark wall on the left.

Beautiful picture. To bad about the top left corner. It does distract from the photo slightly.

Excellent capture of the colors of the ceiling. This is a very nice piece. To me, though, the darkness on the left makes it feel unbalanced

oh that's incredible .. maybe just the cieling itself?

good balance of light and dark

Beautiful--great perspective and well exposed

There appears to be some vertical lines . Is that a light artifact or is there something hanging? Otherwise its very nice. Great depth. - Chariot

Interesting and good photography - just 1 quest. What are the lines? - that's the only thing that distracts me - I can't seem to not-concentrate on the lines. Also - just my opinion - I think I would like it a little more cropped (off of the bottom) I think the strong aspect is the cieling - perhaps about 1/2' off the bottom - would give a great angle down the middle. Anyway, you probably have a different view. Still really great work!! - Can't wait to find out where this is.

what's up with the white lines?
07/17/2002 12:30:00 PM
might have cropped a little more...good work...

A HIGHER ANGLE FROM A BIT LOWER POINT MIGHT HAVER MADE THIS ONE OF THE BEST ... YOU KNOW THE CONSTRAINTS BEST THOUGH

really cool ceiling and quite a nice photo - shame about the cords holding up the lamps (or whatever they are hanging from the ceiling) although I'm not entirely sure what could have been done about them

I really do not care for the framing, the dark part at the top of the photo is not appealing, and I cannot see enough detail in the paintings. To much everything and not enough of one thing.

very nice

The angle isn't perfect. The left hand side is abit too dull and dark.

not too great

really nice place. I wish the ighting was better. You probably didnt have much say as to lighting in a place like this though.

I think there is too much going on here for one picture. I think picking out one area and focusing attention there would have been better.I can see about 7 or 8 really interesting things to shoot. One pix doesn't do justice to this setting.

Took my breath away.

Nice church. The sun flares throughout the shot are very distracting. The darkness of the left side and far end also minus's. Personally, I would have just gone for the painting(s) in the ceiling, avoiding the rest. 6 Swash

Good DOF and color. I like this view-good job. Kee

beautiful shot. Are the slight lines something hanging from the ceiling?
07/15/2002 11:03:00 AM
very pretty

I love cathedrals! This is really good but I wish the dark arch was cropped out. Also may have been nice if there had been more symmetry in the angle from which you took the shot. 7 Lisa

love this

Beautiful photo.

Very nice subject, but the picture seems a bit too dark, near the bottom especially. I think if you had zoomed in more and maybe focused more on the ceiling and upper columns, you would have had a nicer shot.
