Tried to find the brightest colored spices/ingredients I had in the kitchen. Ended up being chili powder and dried basil. Used a single off-camera flash for lighting.

Very nice color combination. Detail is really good on the ground chile's on the right. Really liked the composition too. Very well done.

Really nice. Would have worked just a bit better for me if the side of the foreground bowl wasn't being clipped at the right edge.

I would like this better with just one pot with the peppers. The second pot seems unnecessary. Also, I think you could include the entire pot without clipping the edge in the crop.

This meets the challenge – it’s inanimate and arranged. There's a lack of variation and an unfortunate crop of the right hand edge. I think it would be better if the background were more active. 5

did you try this without the pot in the background? It distracts a bit for me from the one in the foreground. Also, the foreground pot is toughing the edge of the image, it would be nice if it were entirely in the frame of the image. Great clarity, saturation and clarity on the foreground are its strentghs, the distractions are minor but would score higher for me. keep it up.-8-

Nice and sharp, pleasing colors and good depth of field. A 9 from me.
