Pushed RAW file almost to the limit to get the contrast and saturation. Later adjusted the colours slightly in Photoshop using Hue/Saturation and Selective Colour.

interesting how, because we know what a phone is for, the outstretched receiver has a certain pathos to it. in fact, we also know what a chair is for. Neither one is being used, and they are both trying to use each other to fulfill their functions. Not to mention the nice composition and great lines... oh, and good colors! 8

Love the old chair. The texture of the background is distracting to me. I would have liked to see the BG out of focus.

or.. Hung Up or .. On Hold! Great thought. Overall I like this, but feel that perhaps the focus and lighting could be improved a bit. Nonetheless one of the better entries in this challenge.

Beautiful subjects and shot. I had to look up the dictionary for the title before I got the message behind the subjects you used for this shot ... sigh, so much so for my vocab :) Love the textures on the chair, the peeling paint makes the chair look really old and un-cared for.
