Shows you have studied paintings and art in general. Loverly.

This one is a hanger, I like the warmth of the shot and the contrast the vase represents.

A very strong still life, and I agree, that it really does look like a painting from the "Masters".....My only very tiny suggestion, would be maybe a few loose grapes down with the apples, to connect it all together.

The fruit is perfect, the vase colour is perfect, the black background is perfect. The grapes are perfect with that bluish yeast coating. But it is the grapes coming out of the vase that bings me. But I just figured it out, the classic way to do this would be to tip the vase on its side, like a cornucopia and have the ggrapes spill out. That way you keep everything and get to make it look like natural chaos.... 0.02c

This was good..I felt it would be in top ten, but it is a lovely and softly hued image.

I had this one tied for 4th in my voting. I'm really surprised this finished 27th.

Love it, Judy. Great use of the light, there's something mysterious about it.

Hey - not bad! (Although I figured it to finish in top 10.) Great shot Judy - beautiful lighting, color, & composition. Perfectly met the challenge.

Returning for comments. This screams classic still life. If I didn't know better I'd say this was a painting. Whatever lighting you used it worked flawlessly.

I love the colors in this piece, but because they look so fake, I would have not included the grapes. The vase colors blend so well with the apples that I think the grapes were just overkill. But a nice photo and meets the challenge that everybody's been hollerin' about!

Indeed! Very rich. You've really captured the impressionistic feeling with this photo. The glare from the light source is unfortunate, though.

I think I almost would have liked this more w/o the grapes- but the colors are great

Very good use of the soft light. It brings out the color very nicely.

This meets the challenge – it’s inanimate and arranged. I'd back off some of that colour saturation to make it look more like real fruit. 7

Nice set up, but it is blurry

This really has a beautiful painterly quality about it...a perfect still life.

This is clearly a standout in this challenge. The way the foreground fruit is soft, complimenting the vase and crystal sharp grapes. . .Wow! Love it!

Nice colours and spirit to the photo. BUt grapes coming out of a tall vase are the weak unrealistic point. A bowl would have clinched the deal.
