Magical. Love it, can relate to it and gave a high score.
Also the title is perfect.
(Better than “my karma ran over my dogma”.) ;)

Greetings from the Critique Club,
What I like: The depth of field in the foreground is really nice, as is the background blur I like that you can tell she is in a forest. The green color is very good, one of the better shots with natural green I often find it turns out not quite right, you have handled it very well. I love your model she looks like she belongs in this environment and she is completely credible as an outdoorsy type who would find this to be a holy place. I think her expresion is wonderful (this shot would of also done well I think in enviro port). I also think the light on her face is good.

My only real criiticism is that I would of like to crop about an inch off the right of the photo just to the right of the outside tree, and I would of liked a little more room on the left. And crop a about half an inch off the bottom.( I do not read other comments left, but I am suprised this did not do better--too many thought didn ot meet challenge?)

Very nicely done IMHO.

Nice one - the number of comments alone make it worth it. As one said, It 's a Holy Place I can relate to. Me too.

I gave this picture a 9 in the voting. My favourite sort of holy place and with someone appreciating the special qualities of the natural world. I'm sorry not many other voters felt the same way but I'm not surprised ;)

Great, and a great title. Goes to show how a title can enhance a photo so much. Love the expression, she looks truly blessed. Only thing I would try would be to have a little more space to her left.

Nice photo. The subject is "refreshing" when voting on this challenge.
I would perhaps have put more space on the left in order to off-center her.

Wonderful isolation of the surroundings and nice capture of a moment of pure unity with nature.

I find this to be a pretty good shot. I wondered if some people might attempt this type of intrepretation of the challenge, and how would they fare. I think you've managed to convey the concept nicely in this case. I can get your feeling :-) I think you've even managed to make the centered comp work well. Great use of dof. It's obvious you put some thought and care into finding the proper setting, it just works well. Although, I'll venture to guess that perhaps why this works well is that this really is a special place for you. The little sapling behind her is a nice touch for some reason. Interesting, you've broken a couple rules. The centered comp, the tree line going across center of frame, but...it just really works well. The shot is nice. I love it when people break rules and make it 'work'. :-) Really nice job, I like this shot. Well done. Good luck, and I hope voters can see the magic in this image. :-)

Lovely DOF, maybe a little too centered

Great idea. I think it would have been better if her face was in strict profile perhaps - or turned a little more to the camera without losing the sun.

This is the sort of 'holy place' I can relate to. No authoritative doctrines and no exchange of $$$.

Wonderful. Such a nice change from all of the churches and cemetaries. Bravo for being original. Great DOF. I love it.
