That building looks sort of tempting for rock climbing.

Nice focus and colors. Maybe cropped/framed a little too tightly on the left.

With those nice clouds I'd try and adjust the sky a little darker to give them even more definition. I don't think you need quite so much foreground -- cropping to 640x427 would eliminate some grass and lower the horizon below the midpoint. Also looks pretty good in grayscale.

I find this a pleasant photo, but I get visually confused as to what the subject is here. The clouds, the stone formation, or the tree. I enjoy a photo with visual motion, that is, one that causes the eye to wander from element to element. However, I think this one would benifit more from a different perspective that brings the eye to the subject.

for me, the clouds turn an otherwise bland image into something much nicer. 6 sjgleah

I really like this one

Nice scenery shot. Looks like a housing development on the horizon, drop down a foot or two, it wouldn't hurt to miss them. 8 Swash

the paleness of the grass and paleness of the sky compliment each other very well

Composition and colors are little bit boring.

very nicely done

good shot

horizon cuts this composition in half; either cropping off grass a bit or raising camera angle might be more effective

This is nice, but would be much better at a more interesting time of day, evening or morning. This light is a little bland.

poor foreground

I love the cloud perspective. I wish you had had a polarized lens for this...would have made a great surreal image. Really nice composition. 7 Lisa

Nice depth of field, color and use of subject matter (trees and rock) to offset what could have been 'just another landscape'. I am not sure what I should focus on as the subject (trees or rock). I find my eyes bouncing back and forth. My natural tendency is to move from left to right so I might have cropped out the trees on the left (though you could do the opposite and remove the rock). I might also have cropped out about half the grass to give more drama to the sky.

nice..I like the green then brown against the sky......looks like they aren't far from the suburbs
07/16/2002 09:01:00 PM
nice clean image
07/16/2002 08:23:00 PM
poor title, doesn't look like ruins to me. just a plain and simple field with a rock and a tree.
07/16/2002 11:01:00 AM
Nice land scape--need more attention on the ruins,or change the title.

The composition here could be a little better. I'm wondering what the subject is - the tree or the rock (?). It doesn't really look like ruins.

A really nice landscape. The clouds are simply breathtaking. I also like the way that the ruins hint at human existance, but the landscape still looks so pristine. EXCELLENT.

light levels are low

Aside from the title, it's difficult to tell where to focus. The tree competes. A bare landscape as a setting for the ruin would be more dramatic. Just by moving you could have changed your perspective. Great coloring. Wonderful clouds.

Composition is excellent. I especially like the clouds, very nice photo.

love the clouds!

very pretty, I want to live here
07/15/2002 04:27:00 PM
A nice landscape shot. You might want to focus more on the ruins though, since that is the title of the image.

Pretty area. Good color. Kee

Good loolking sky. I like the angle in the landscape between the grassy area and the brown dirt area. Nice composition.
