This is my co-worker Natalie. This image was shot at the plaza of the San Jose Museum of Modern Art. I was picturing a high contrast image against a deep blue sky but Mother Nature decided otherwise. It rained and was cloudy the whole day. I suspect this will be different than everyone else' but that's ok. It's definitely a DPC Underground image that is sure to bring smiles to whoever views it.

Hello Sunshine!


Everything's gone wrong today
No one reacts to anything you say
No matter how much you scream and cry,
the world seems to be passing you by.
No one seems to notice or care,
that you are trying to be heard over your despair.

But on one face a smile shines through,
a smile that knows and cares about you.
A smile with love to lend,
on a face you recognize as a friend.

Unique photograph. Much better than a typical snapshot portrait.
GREAT perspective. The fingers provide wonderful lines for the viewer's eyes to follow to the subject's face. A less cluttered background would have faired better in the challenge, but I like the background personally because it gives a fun environment for the candid. Nice job.

This is a very unique shot. Clearly the focus and point of the shot is her lovely smile, and yet her hands own the image, framing her. I wish you had been able to put a bit more light on her face as everything else is bright. Still, very nice.

She looks like a horrible au-pair and her smile is deceiving, she is about to do a horrible thing to me. Seriously, better focus on hands would help.
