I only get sun in my living room for a short time every morning and I only get to see it if I'm here on the weekends. I love that light. The quilt is from a very good friend of mine and is nearly 20 years old - we learned to quilt at the same time. The cat is Sir Thomas the Terrible, and for as much trouble as he causes, he's a great source of joy and comfort.
In RAW, reduced exposure, increased contrast. In PS, crop, autolevels, USM, resize, add border.
And yes, I know there are shadows - I like shadows. And yes, the cat's white fur is blown in parts. So be it. I still like the picture. :-)
(I really must remember to reset my ISO, though!) |

This was and still is (of course) a nice photo , people with cat understand very well the pleasure cats give ...
About shadows , there's nothing to tell , it's a natural photo and as your title explains light is part of your comfort. |

Awwwww. . .That Thomas looks MUCH more cozy and comforting than a 5.2!! This photo is AWESOME. It's one of my favorites. Definitely one of the cutest models in the challenge!!!

| This is BEAUTIFUL! It makes me comforted just to look at it. The lighting is exquisite. I know my cat cozied up with my favorite blanket is one of the most comforting things in my life :) I think this is perfect! 10 |

| I love cats! Got two in my lap right now...I typically hate cat photo's...they are too easy......but, you have captured a wonderful expression here. Comforting! Nice. |
