I like the very vertical format on this one - it doesn't strongly convey heat to me, though. The sun glare is balanced pleasantly by the greenery at the bottom. I can believe that it's hot, it just wouldn't jump out at me as such without the title and the challenge topic.

Nice crop, and nice idea. Would like to have seen a more intersting subject for the lower part of the frame though - the bush/trees doesn't particularly help the feeling of heat for me.

would have been good to see some focus to the trees.. As it is it looks like a crop from a much larger shot..
