Thank you all for the comments. This was a fun 2 weeks watching my score. This is the picture that put my "Favorite Pictures" over 100. Thanks again.

I finally submitted my entry for the Blue challenge a few minutes ago. When I came across this one during last minute voting (11:36pm), I said "holy sh#%" out loud. This would have been perfect for the Blue challenge, but alas, it is in the Best of 2005 and is definitely one of the best of the best!
Amazing blue tones you have here. I'll bet you are kicking yourself that you didn't have some foresight into the upcoming blue challenge hu? This would have rocked the competition in that challenge I'm sure.
DOF is dead on in this shot IMHO. I really like the softness of the flowers that the butterfly is perched on. Well done.
one of th few bug pix I like, color great but a bit satureated, b&w need work, dof nice, good light, nice comp, nice texture, nice macro, overall a great attempt
WOW!!!!! - I am looking through all the thumb-nails, and this image just POPPED-OUT in front of me. I absolutely love this photo so very much, and can't wait to find out who the photographer is, so I can add it to my favorites.
Lovely colours over the whole picture. The butterfly with spread wings looks great. The plant on the left is a bit untidy but I'm sure it's hard to choose your background with this subject.
Beautiful shot, almost got a 10 from me but not quite there... 9 will have to do :) Love the colour sceme in this shot, the editing is really hitting the spot with me.
Well, I'm half way through, and have seen a few nice butterfly pics. This is heads and shoulders above them all. As a matter of fact, I'm taking notes because I want to learn how to do it right!
So there! ;>)
More or less seriously, this image is going to be only my second 10. It's lovely.
Absolutely stunning. The cools tones of lavendar to blue just jump out at you. The softness doesn't deter the depth of detail. Upping to a 10. This is truly spectacular. Good luck - it deserves high placement.
