Beautiful texture in the fur. Looks like a young 'un. I wish I had time to see this in the voting, would have given a 9.

only made it to 51%...

I like the hairball too. I gave it an 8 :)

edit: "it" being the photo, not the hairball :)

I love it with the "hairball".. it turns this photo into an instant classic in my mind. Unintentional or not, it got a laugh from me, and is still a pretty darned good photo.

LOL.

Still cracks me up.

wow, what a moment! love the crisp white background.
I'm sure the blob in the lower right is some blurred object in the background, but the more I look at this photo, the more I get the sense that the tiger(?) has just coughed it up, like it's some albino hairball...

Very nice and detailed picture!! Although I'd like to know whats that thing on the right.

Great shot ... but perhaps cloning out the blob on the right would have made it much better ... though again great shot!

fantasic lighting and clarity. i can really feel the textures. now that rock makes it look like he's coughing up a giant hairball. no clone?

Good capture, that out of focus thing in the background makes it look like he is throwing up something, though, sorry!

Great picture. The blur in front of his mouth is a little disracting. 10

the focus on this is excellent. great capture.

I have to wonder what the background was like before levelling it out. There are chromatic abberations along the lines of the tiger, but the tiger itself is pretty cool. Looks sort of like he's coughing out some kind of "hairball", which I suppose was intentional? If not, still pretty funny..

Great capture! Is that a tiger treat he's snapping for? :) Lighting and colours are just perfect.

Awesome! The only thing that bothers me is that spot on the lower right. It almost looks like the tiger is throwing something up. But what a capture.

What is that blob? A furball? It's a little distracting. Otherwise, nice capture. Great timing.

I like the capture. Composition wise it's also pretty good 8

GREAT profile but the lump on the right should not be there in my opinion

Like the detail on the cat, but the fuzzy thing (hairball? lol) in the right lower corner is a little distracting - 7

I love this - although the item oof on the right does seem rather superflous.

I'd clone out the white thing in front of his face. Otherwise, awesome!

Very good photograph. The color and tone are great. If I had a complaint it would be that with that thing in front of him it looks like he's coughing something up.

Really nice photo! I love the clarity and the colours. The only thing that spoils it for me is the stone in the snow. I think you could have probably cloned it out and got away with it not being a major element, but don't take my word on that :) 9

The only thing that is distracting to me is the "glob" at the right side of the shot. Makes it look like the tiger just hacked up a hairball. Other than that it is an absolutely beautiful capture of a gorgeous cat. -9-

impressive yawn, or is that food going in or out? Nice!

01/17/2006 04:14:57 PM
great shot, the only thing that bothers me is the white blob the tiger is about to eat.. if you replaced that with a white mouse this would be high price stock photo material..

Haaaakkk...HHhaaakkkk......! Hairball! Hairball!
We have three cats at our house...Can you tell? :)
01/17/2006 02:08:26 AM
Whoa, nice capture. Only issue keeping it from perfection (at least for me) is the backgound issue, looks like he spit out a loogy.

Wow! As someone born in the Year of the Tiger, I have a soft spot for tiger shots. This one is visually stunning. Excellent color contrast!
